I founded Proverbs & Purpose Financial with the belief that financial guidance should be grounded in biblical wisdom, thoughtful counsel, and a clear sense of purpose. Guided by the principle that we are called to be faithful stewards of what God has entrusted to us, my work focuses on helping individuals, families, churches, and veterans align their financial decisions with their values and long-term calling.

I am a Certified Kingdom Advisor® (CKA®) with over two decades of experience in financial services, and I hold education from Indiana Wesleyan University, with earlier studies at Schoolcraft College. Before entering the industry, I proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from 1986 to 1990, reaching the rank of Corporal (E-4).

My practice emphasizes Christian financial strategies, retirement and income planning, investments, charitable giving, and wealth preservation. I am especially passionate about helping churches strengthen their stewardship programs and educating families on tax-efficient giving strategies, including charitable planning considerations for individuals over age 70½. I also feel a strong calling to serve veterans, assisting with practical needs such as housing and food resources, while helping them and their families better understand the benefits available to them during life and as part of legacy planning.

Outside of work, I enjoy fishing and golfing with my family. I may not be great at either, but I value the time together and the opportunity to slow down and reconnect. Through Proverbs & Purpose Financial, my mission is to provide wise, faith-centered guidance that helps clients plan thoughtfully, live generously, and move forward with confidence.

Theresa Wicke

Administrative Associate

theresa.wicke@lpl.com

I bring more than 20 years of administrative experience across a variety of professional settings, including an attorney’s office, brain injury rehabilitation, and municipal government. Throughout my career, I’ve supported complex operations and diverse teams, gaining a strong foundation in organization, communication, and attention to detail.

Most recently, I worked in accounts payable and with the fire department in a city government role—experiences I found especially rewarding for their structure, teamwork, and service-oriented focus. After relocating to Florida with my family three years ago, I continued building my professional experience while working for a food brokerage company.

Outside of the office, I enjoy staying active and connected with my faith and family. I love spending time at church, walking in local parks, and being outdoors whenever possible. I also enjoy playing softball and volleyball and spending time with my husband, daughter, and our three huskies.
